We Won a Grant from Freelancing Females!
The Light Leaks was recently announced as a recipient of a $2K grant from Freelancing Females! Freelancing Females is a community for freelancing women and provides a job directory, resources for entrperemeners and more. The grant was open to all women-owned businesses and female freelancers and solopreneurs and we were so excited to find out we were even finalists!
We applied for this grant from Freelancing Females and Amber Grants, Womens Net through an instagram reel that showed a day in our business life and also what we’ve accomplished so far.
The other finalists included @lindseycreated, @girlsmentorship and, @tessdhiggins! As a team we were honored just to be nominated as a finalist and considered among these other incredible businesses.
We’re so grateful for this opportunity to grow and the acknowledgment of our work so far. This incredible opportunity will allow us to expand on our original content and also compensate our team for their volunteer work.
As a volunteer team we are so dedicated to the mission of supporting rising filmmakers and this gives us so much hope for the future of what we can accomplish. Thank you to Freelancing Females, Amber Grants, and Womens Net for this and thank you to our TLL community for supporting us too.
