The Light Leaks is excited to offer consulting calls for creatives including individuals and brands that focus on digital strategy as well as creative career direction. Our goal is to empower our clients to take on their creative goals with more direction, additional resources, and a judgement free space to ask questions. Available as a virtual, 1:1 resource, this is an ongoing service that will be open from the Light Leaks with more session topics to be announced.

Meet Kim Hoyos!
Kim Hoyos (she/her) is a freelance creative, specializing in video production, social content, and digital strategy based in Los Angeles. She’s also a small business owner and the founder of “The Light Leaks”, an online community for women and nonbinary filmmakers.
Passionate about representation in media, Kim strives to create spaces on screen and behind the camera for women, BIPOC folks, and the LGBTQ+ community. She’s explored her creativity by directing, writing, and producing her short films available for online viewing and producing and editing digital videos for brands including mitu, The Mujerista, Aloe App, Adolescent Content, and more.
Kim has always pursued opportunities that allow her to expand on her storytelling skill set whether that be in production, writing, digital strategy, or social media content. With experience across late-night television, social impact, online community building, and video production through positions at NBC, MTV, Greenpoint Pictures, GirlGaze, and others - Kim has a multifaceted background in storytelling.
Because of her work with MTV’s +1 the Vote, she’s a 2019 Shorty Award recipient. Kim’s work for representation in media through The Light Leaks and film production has been noted in the press by People en Espanol, Urban Outfitters, Ms. Magazine, Amy Poehler's Smart Girls, BUST Magazine, and more.
